However, if you’re using a Logitech Wireless Keyboard, you’ll notice that they’re all connected to your computer via Bluetooth or Logitech Unifying Wireless Technology.

Because you’ve already used a Logitech wireless keyboard, you’ve most likely linked it to your computer using Bluetooth’s Unifying wireless technology, or you’ve observed the keyboard includes a reset button while connecting it to your computer.

The receiver, which is connected to the computer to pair the keyboard with it, also features a reset button that can be used for basic troubleshooting.

Long-press and release the reset button at the bottom of the keyboard. Do the same with the receiver, which is connected to the computer through USB.

Method 1:  Make sure the keyboard and USB port is in working order

We have a tendency to disregard details when attempting to solve a problem. Make certain you have…

Method 2: Uninstalling and reinstalling Logitech software

The software that comes with the Logitech wireless keyboard assists in mapping the wireless keyboard and receiver that you’ve linked to the computer via a USB port.

The software is responsible for establishing a connection between the software and the hardware devices, and when the Logitech software is not configured correctly, the Logitech wireless keyboard will not work.

This issue can be fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling Logitech Software. The procedure is straightforward; in fact, after you remove it, the installation is completed immediately.

Here are the instructions to follow!

  1. Press Windows+R to bring up a command prompt.
  2. Hit “Ok” after typing “appwiz.cpl.” It will launch a control panel from which you can remove any program.
  3. Locate the Logitech Software and pick “Uninstall” from the context menu.
  4. Then wait for the uninstallation to finish. Remove the receiver from the PC after you’re finished.
  5. Turn off and on the computer.
  6. And after the computer has restarted, insert the receiver into the computer’s USB port, and it will request you to install the driver. Complete the installation process by following the on-screen instructions. In the installed programs list, you can see if the software has been installed.

Then check to see whether the Logitech Wireless Keyboard issue has been repaired. If that doesn’t work, try another approach.

Method 3:  Remove the Logitech Wireless Keyboard Driver from your computer

This is another quick cure for the Logitech wireless keyboard not working problem. This issue can sometimes happen by a misconfiguration of the default keyboard driver on your computer.

This is pre-installed and is utilized for the keyboard that you use with your computer, not necessarily the Logitech keyboard!

You can uninstall and reinstall the keyboard driver to check whether the issue is resolved. Here are the instructions to follow!

  1. To begin, In the lower-left corner, right-click the Windows Icon.
  2. Select “Device Manager” from the drop-down menu.
  3. Then the device manager will open, and you’ll be able to see all of the drivers that now exist on your computer. Select the driver and click “Uninstall device” under Keyboards.
  4. And once the removal is complete, restart the computer.
  5. When you restart your computer, the computer will automatically detect the driver because it is a required driver for the keyboard to work.
  6. Then, check to check if the driver is installed in the device manager. If not, select “Scan for hardware changes” from the “Action” menu. And if you don’t see the driver presently, check again.

If you see a yellow exclamation mark, do this.

  1. Right-click the yellow exclamation mark driver.
  2. Then click “Update driver” and then “Automatically search for drivers.” If you are not connected to the internet, it will be unable to locate the essential driver.
  3. Allow it to look for and update the relevant driver. After that, go to “Action” and choose “Scan for hardware changes.”
  4. The driver list will refresh and the exclamation mark will disappear.
  5. Then, check to see whether the Logitech wireless keyboard issue is there or not. If it isn’t, move on to the next step.

Method 4: Starting the HID Service for the First Time

The Logitech wireless keyboard not functioning issue might be due to issues with HID services, which you can resolve by restarting the services and switching to “Automatic.”

HID stands for Human Interface Devices, and as the name implies, it deals with human input.

The keyboard is an input device, and any issues with HID may prevent the keyboard from working properly.

Let’s restart HID Services and see if this solves the issue.

  1. Select the Windows icon, which will display all of the programs and applications installed on your computer.
  2. Then, scroll down and select “Windows Administrative Tools,” which will bring up a list of additional programs.
  3. Select “Services” from the drop-down menu.
  4. Then selecting “Services” will bring up the Services menu. As shown in the screenshot below, look for “Human Interface Device Services.” Go to “Properties” by double-clicking on it.
  5. After that select “Automatic” from the “Start type” drop-down menu on the “General” tab, then “Ok.”
  6. Then verify that the “Service status” is ready to “Running.” If it isn’t, you can start it by using the “Start” button.
